BRAHMAN AND MAYA

Brahman and Maya may be compared to the white of the eye and the kajal, respectively.

The white of the eye is just the same even with or without the kajal. Kajal simply adds to the beauty of the white of the eye through contrast effect. The whiteness is never upset or damaged due to the equally opposite black color in spite of their close proximity. Never is the kajal mistaken to be the eye.

Brahman is just the same with or without maya. Maya simply adds to the beauty of the Brahman through inexplicable contrast effect. Brahman is unaffected by Maya in spite of their close proximity. Never can Maya be mistaken for Brahman.
