Two things.
- The thoughts of yesterday.
That ....
I had a past.
It was filled with achievements, joys, relations, possessions, victories, passion.
It was equally filled with downs, disappointments, failures, quarrels, fights, despair.
- The thoughts of tomorrow.
That ....
I have a future.
It will be filled with achievements, joys, relations, possessions, victories, passion.
It will be equally filled with downs, disappointments, failures, quarrels, fights, despair.
I am prejudiced with the inputs and memories of my past. I spend my time either appreciating myself for the good things or sack myself for the disappointing behaviour. I remain immersed in the thoughts of a bygone era.
I am excited with the hope called tomorrow. I procastinate things and plans thinking that in future I'd be a great person. I get equally worried thinking of the uncertainities of the future. I remain immersed in the thoughts of an unborn era.
Is this me?
What do I lose in between?
Myself in HERE and NOW.
What's the way?
Know for sure I'm distinctly different from my past and future. My individuality resides in the present moment. What I am now, what are my attitudes now, how do I feel now, what is that which I want now, etc - all matters. Find out My being which was lost amidst the clouds of the past and future. The clear sunny skies of the PRESENT are always here to embrace me, warm and fresh.
Then what's a past and future got to do with me?
Oh, dear witness of the three (past, present, fututre).... Past and future gives me knowledge about different aspects of my being. Know for sure that I was the one who went through the past, going through the present and will go through in the future. Time is just revealing or throwing light upon different aspects of my being. As mentioned before, all I am doing is getting to know me better. So from the past and the future, learn the different aspects about myself. When I get to know myself better, I can express myself the best in the present.
Why let thoughts hold me back?
Let me enjoy the sun.
